Lori Teague is an Associate Professor in the Dance & Movement Studies Program at Emory University since 1994. She holds an MFA from The Ohio State University with a Laban Movement Studies certificate. Her work bridges artistic practice with activism, focusing on embodiment, gender, and environmental themes through choreography and site-specific performances.

Research & Practice: Teague's choreographic research explores bodily transitions, societal norms, and environmental issues through improvisation and site-specific works like D.I.R.T. (dance in real time). She emphasizes kinesthetic listening and collaborative creation with artists and natural spaces.
Community Engagement: Co-directs The Dancing Flowers for Peace, invests in teacher training, and volunteers with Moving in the Spirit. Active member of Alternate Roots, NDEO, and Dance Studies Association.
Performance Experience: Collaborated with Zivili: Songs and Dances of the Western Balkans, Randy James Dance Works, and Atlanta-based companies like Full Radius Dance and CORE Performance Company.
