Lori Daiello is an Associate Professor of Health Services, Policy and Practice and Neurology (Research) at Brown University. She holds dual appointments at Alpert Medical School and Rhode Island Hospital. Her work focuses on cognitive aging, perioperative neurocognitive disorders, and neurodegenerative biomarkers. Dr. Daiello leads the NIH-funded CREATES study investigating blood-brain barrier dysfunction's role in postoperative delirium and Alzheimer's risk. She has authored over 49 peer-reviewed publications and holds grants totaling $6.3M from NIH, NIA, and AHRQ.
Education: PharmD (Ohio State University, 1993), MS (Brown University, 2012). Awards include the Alzheimer's Resource Center Impact Award (2004) and multiple NIH grants. Active collaborations span neurology, geriatrics, and bioengineering departments. Current research integrates MRI and biomarker analysis with clinical outcomes in surgical and aging populations.
