Jeffrey Nicholas Browndyke is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences with a secondary appointment as Assistant Professor in Surgery at Duke University School of Medicine. He also serves as a Senior Fellow of the Center for the Study of Aging and Human Development, Faculty Network Member of the Duke Institute for Brain Sciences, and Affiliate of the Center for Brain Imaging and Analysis.
Dr. Browndyke's educational background includes a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University (2001) and a Psychology Fellowship Program at Brown University, Warren Alpert Medical School (2000-2003). His research focuses on advanced neurocognitive and neuroimaging techniques for understanding perioperative contributions to delirium and dementia risk, monitoring late-life neuropathological disease progression, and developing interventions for treatment outcomes. He also investigates novel telehealth methods for remote neurocognitive evaluation and non-invasive neuromodulatory techniques to assist in postoperative recovery and dementia risk reduction.
