Lora Izvorova is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge, with a specialization in International Human Rights Law, Critical Legal Studies, and Jurisprudence. She holds a PhD in Law (2019-2023) and an LLM in International Law (2018-2019) from Cambridge, along with a First Class LLB from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2015-2018).

Her research focuses on the intersection of human rights adjudication, critical legal theory, and normative reasoning. She has contributed to publications exploring the European Court of Human Rights' use of language and the evolution of choice-of-law principles under the Rome I Regime. Her recent work examines trends in legal discourse and predictability in international legal frameworks.
Notable awards include the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship from the Cambridge Trust and the Charltons Prize for outstanding performance at LSE. Izvorova has served as a Researcher for the Human Rights Nudge Project since 2020 and was a Co-convenor of the Public International Law PhD Discussion Group (2022-2023). She has also held editorial roles at the Cambridge International Law Journal and the LSE Law Review.
