Ms Eden Howard, known by her pseudonym Wednesday Eden, is a PhD Candidate in Law at Darwin College, University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on intellectual property law with an emphasis on the public domain in copyright law. She holds multiple prestigious scholarships including the Vice-Chancellor’s & Darwin College Studentship and the One Essex Court LLM Scholarship.
Education highlights include a First Class LLB from LSE (winning the Dechert Prize), an LLM from Cambridge with distinction, and ongoing PhD studies. She is affiliated with the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Law (CIPIL).
As Editor-in-Chief of the Cambridge Law Review and Co-Convenor of the Oxford-Cambridge IP Research Forum, she contributes significantly to legal discourse. Her supervisory roles at multiple colleges include teaching Intellectual Property Law to undergraduate students.
Award-winning researcher, she has presented at major conferences such as the Annual Mosaic IP Law and Policy Roundtable and the International Conference on Emerging Issues in Intellectual Property Law. Her work critically examines public domain concepts, EU harmonization efforts, and challenges to IP monopolies.
