Dr. Eden Sarid is a Lecturer in Law at the Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London. He specializes in Intellectual Property Law with a focus on socio-legal, empirical, and queer theory approaches. His research examines creative economies outside traditional IP frameworks (e.g., drag queens, tattoo artists) and explores intersections of law with cultural heritage, AI governance, and private law reform.
Education includes an SJD from University of Toronto (Vanier Canada Scholar), LLM from LSE (Chevening Scholar), and LLB/BA from Hebrew University (Honours Program). Prior roles include senior law clerk at the Israeli Supreme Court and IP associate in a leading law firm.
Research interests span interdisciplinary topics such as queer jurisprudence, machine learning’s impact on administrative law, and orphan works legislation. His work appears in top journals like Modern Law Review and Wisconsin Law Review, influencing policy discussions globally. He co-leads the King’s Information and Intellectual Property Hub (KiiPH), one of Europe’s largest IP law research groups.
Current projects include a British Academy-funded initiative on 'Queering Private Law' (2025–2026). His scholarship emphasizes social justice, evidenced by policy consultations with international bodies and media citations (Bloomberg, Le Figaro).
