Lora Billings serves as Dean of the College of Science and Mathematics and Professor of Applied Mathematics at Montclair State University. She holds editorship of the SIAM Journal on Applied Dynamical Systems and previously directed NSF mathematics programs.
Her research develops mathematical frameworks for stochastic disease spread in populations and ecological systems. Current NSF projects examine extinction thresholds in food webs and STEM education innovations.
Billings leads institutional initiatives enhancing student support systems, including psychoeducational counseling for STEM interns and research experiences addressing workforce development.
