Lonzetta L. Newman

Dr. Lonzetta L. Newman serves as Professor in the Department of Clinical Cancer Prevention within MD Anderson's Division of Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences, holding concurrent roles as Education Director, Clinical Site Rotation Coordinator, and Program Leader for the Interdisciplinary Breast Cancer Fellowship Program. She maintains a volunteer faculty appointment at UT Health Science Center's Department of General Internal Medicine.

Her research concentrates on cancer prevention and early detection methodologies, with specialized expertise in breast, cervical, and prostate cancer screening protocols. Dr. Newman implements multidisciplinary clinical approaches in the Cancer Prevention Center and Undiagnosed Breast Clinic, focusing on risk assessment and diagnostic pathways for high-risk populations.
