Susan Y. Chon

Susan Y. Chon serves as Professor in the Department of Dermatology, Division of Internal Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She concurrently holds leadership positions as Program Director of the Skin Cancer Screening and Education Program and Quality Improvement Officer for the Department of Dermatology.

Her clinical and research trajectory centers on skin cancer epidemiology, preventive dermatology, and population-level screening methodologies. Through the Skin Cancer Screening and Education Program, she implements evidence-based early detection protocols while developing patient education frameworks for at-risk communities. This work intersects with MD Anderson's institutional focus on translational oncology and cancer prevention.

As Quality Improvement Officer, Dr. Chon spearheads departmental initiatives to optimize clinical workflows, enhance diagnostic accuracy in dermatopathology, and standardize patient care pathways.
