Dr. Lola Frost is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow in the Department of War Studies at King’s College London, affiliated with the School of Security Studies. She holds a joint Theory/Practice PhD from Goldsmiths College (2007) and has held prior roles, including Senior Lecturer in Art History at Technikon Natal, Durban (pre-2002), and Leverhulme Artist-in-Residence in War Studies (2014–2015). She convened an Art and War MA Module (2017/18) and expanded her interdisciplinary research via fellowships at ANU’s Centre for Law, Art and Humanities (2019) and UNSW Canberra’s Australian Defence Force Academy (2019).
Her research focuses on intersections of art, conflict, and politics, including

- Art and Misogyny
- Art and Power
She co-founded the Arts & Conflict Hub, which uses artistic mediums to explore conflict complexities. Notable engagements include organizing events like 'China & the West - Art, Diplomacy & Cooperation on Climate Change' (2021) and panel discussions on solidarity during global crises (2021). Her artistic practice includes exhibitions in London (2013–2018) and collaborations with War Studies to bridge art and security studies.
