Loc Do

Loc Do is Professor of Dental Public Health at the University of Queensland School of Dentistry, transitioning from the University of Adelaide in 2021. A dentist by training, he began his research career in the early 2000s at the Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health.

His research addresses critical public health challenges including water fluoridation efficacy, community oral health disparities, and evidence-based preventive dentistry. Through large-scale epidemiological studies like the National Child Oral Health Study, Professor Do has demonstrated water fluoridation's significant role in preventing dental caries and reducing health inequalities.
