Dr Diep Ha is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Queensland's School of Dentistry within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences. She holds a PhD in Oral Epidemiology from the University of Adelaide. Her research focuses on population-based studies investigating the complex interactions of multilevel determinants affecting oral health, particularly in vulnerable populations. Key areas include fluoride use, dietary patterns, and reducing health inequalities. Dr Ha has led three NHMRC-funded projects and currently supervises multiple PhD/Master’s students while mentoring early-career researchers.
Education: Doctor of Philosophy (Oral Epidemiology), University of Adelaide.

Grants: Current funding includes NHMRC projects on oral health inequity in aged care (2023-2026) and water fluoridation studies (2021-2025). Past grants include NHMRC support for child oral health inequality analysis (2021-2023) and behavioral development studies (2021-2022).
Labs/Teams: Leads projects on teledentistry feasibility, fluoride policy, and dietary interventions through collaborative networks including the SMILE cohort study.
