Liz Grant is a Professor of Global Health and Development at the University of Edinburgh, affiliated with the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine and the Usher Institute. She serves as Director of the Global Health Academy, Assistant Principal Global Health, and Co-Director for multiple global health programs, including MSc Planetary Health and MSc Global eHealth. Her work spans Global Health, Palliative Care, and Planetary Health, with a focus on integrating compassion into health systems and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Recent publications highlight her contributions to vaccine equity policy, ethical clinical decision-making, task shifting in healthcare, and climate adaptive care. She also leads the Palliative Care in a Changing Climate group.
