Lisa van Toor is Lecturer in Murdoch University's School of Law and Criminology, specializing in social justice and human rights law. She serves as clinical supervisor and pro bono solicitor in the Human Rights Law Clinic.
Her work focuses on refugee status determination, asylum processes, and migration law, with field experience in Australia, EU, Nauru, and Indonesia. Research examines international human rights frameworks, critical legal theory, and law reform.
Education includes PhD candidate at UNSW Kaldor Centre for International Refugee Law, LLM (Cum Laude) in Public International Law from Leiden University, and law degrees from Murdoch University and ANU. Awarded Berndt Memorial Prize in Anthropology (2017).
