Lisa Roberts

Professor Lisa Roberts is a Clinical Professor of Musculoskeletal Health and Consultant Physiotherapist at the University of Southampton’s School of Health Sciences. She holds dual roles: academic leadership in musculoskeletal health research and clinical practice at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. Her work focuses on improving patient communication, shared decision-making, and technology-driven self-management strategies for back pain sufferers. She has secured over £7 million in research funding and published over 70 academic works.

Professionally, she chairs Eurospine’s Membership Committee and advises the World Health Organization on musculoskeletal conditions.
