Dr. Lisa Reidy is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Sheffield Hallam University's College of Social Sciences and Arts, specializing in developmental psychology and autism research. She established the MSc Developmental Psychology program accredited by the British Psychological Society.
Her research examines autism within educational contexts, participatory methodologies, social cognition in teenagers and older adults, and psychological adjustment of international students. Current projects focus on emotion recognition across age groups and autism from non-medicalized perspectives.
Publications demonstrate consistent focus on psychological development in diverse populations, particularly exploring identity formation in autistic pupils and academic resilience measurement.
Leads doctoral research on social cognition and emotion recognition. Collaborates with Sheffield Hallam's Autism Centre.
