Professor Lisa Philipps serves as Provost & Vice-President Academic at York University while holding a professorship at Osgoode Hall Law School, where she has taught since 1996. Her academic career combines significant leadership roles including Interim Dean of Lakehead University's Bora Laskin Faculty of Law (2015) and Associate Vice-President Research at York University (2011-2014).

Professor Philipps specializes in taxation law and fiscal policy, with particular expertise in gender and social policy implications of tax systems.
