Professor Lisa McDaid is a leading academic and researcher in social sciences and health, currently serving as Director of the Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) at The University of Queensland. She holds a PhD in Medical Sociology from the University of Glasgow (2007) and has authored over 100 publications. Her research focuses on addressing health inequalities among marginalized populations, particularly LGBTQ+ communities and Indigenous groups, emphasizing community-participatory approaches and policy impact.
