Dr. Daria Ukhova is a Researcher in the School of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Glasgow, with a dual affiliation in Sociological & Cultural Studies. She leads the policy workstream for the Lancet Public Health Commission on Gambling and is part of the Gambling Research Glasgow team. Previously, she completed a PhD in Sociology at the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (2021) and holds degrees from the University of Oxford, Central European University, and St. Petersburg State University.

Her work spans post-socialist contexts and global comparative research, with notable projects on gambling harms, gender mainstreaming in health, and Indigenous healthcare systems in Guatemala.
