Lisa Harber-Aschan is a Researcher at the Department of Sociology, Stockholm University, affiliated with the Stockholm University Demography Unit (SUDA). Her work focuses on social epidemiology, health inequalities, and the intergenerational impacts of socioeconomic factors. She currently leads a postdoc project on the health and socioeconomic outcomes of descendants of refugees in Sweden, examining mental/physical health disparities linked to family formation and residential context.
Her research employs longitudinal register data and population surveys, addressing topics such as multimorbidity, mental health inequities, and refugee integration. Key projects include studying poverty's impact on mental health in migrant children and the role of family dynamics in refugee integration. She collaborates across disciplines, integrating demographic and sociological perspectives.
