Lisa Aschan is a researcher with expertise in mental health, community health, and public health, contributing to studies aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including Mental Health, Ethnic Groups, and Pandemic Response. Her work spans epidemiology, health inequalities, and cardiometabolic risk factors.
Research Interests: Active in mental health disparities, pandemic impact on healthcare workers, multimorbidity progression, and cardiometabolic risk profiling. Utilizes mixed-methods research and natural language processing for health data analysis.
Selected Research Outputs: Recent studies include analyses of ethnic inequalities in NHS workplace experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic (2024), multimorbidity trends in urban populations (2023), and cardiometabolic risk factors in Sri Lankan populations (2022). Earlier work focused on text-mining mental health EHRs (2020).
Grants & Projects: Served as Primary Investigator for the Care pathways in multimorbid hypertension and common mental disorder project (2017–2020), exploring health, economic, and social outcomes over time.
