Lisa Hain, Psy.D., is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Albright College. She holds licensure as a psychologist and professional counselor, with certifications in school psychology and board diplomate status in School Neuropsychology. Dr. Hain’s research focuses on brain-behavior relationships in children, neuropsychological patterns, and the impact of social media on youth mental health. She actively collaborates with institutions in the U.S., Canada, and Bermuda through the Center for Teaching Brain Literacy. Her professional roles include serving on the editorial boards of School Psychology Review and Learning Disabilities: A Multidisciplinary Approach, as well as board memberships in the Learning Disabilities Association of America and Mind Matters Clinical Research and Education Center.
Dr. Hain’s educational background includes a Psy.D. from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, an M.S. from Millersville University, and a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University. Her teaching spans courses like Child Development, Psychological Assessment, and Behavioral Interventions. She has received multiple Melinda Riccio Excellence in Teaching Awards (2020, 2022, 2024).
Her research interests emphasize brain-based instructional strategies, pediatric mental health, and technology’s dual role in education and youth well-being. Representative publications include works on neuropsychological frameworks for learning disabilities, ADHD medication efficacy, and open educational resources in blended learning. Dr. Hain advocates for integrating research into clinical practice, particularly in neurodevelopmental disorders and evidence-based interventions.
