Melanie Porter is an Associate Professor in the School of Psychological Sciences at Macquarie University, Sydney. She holds academic appointments in the Psychology Department and is affiliated with the Centre for Atypical Neurodevelopment and Hearing Research Centre. Her expertise spans neuropsychology, developmental disorders, and medico-legal assessments. She earned a Master's and PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology and has over 15 years of clinical experience in child and adult mental health.
Dr. Porter's research focuses on neurodevelopmental conditions such as Williams syndrome, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities. She investigates cognitive, behavioral, and brain abnormalities in these disorders and leads projects in neuropsychological rehabilitation and intervention.
