Dr. Robert Whitaker is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Gallaudet University's School of Human Services and Sciences. He holds a Psy.D. from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and has over 20 years of experience as a school psychologist specializing in deaf/hard-of-hearing populations. His expertise includes neuropsychological assessment, ADHD, and cognitive-behavioral interventions.
He teaches courses such as Biological Psychology: Brain & Behavior and Neuroanatomical Foundations of Neuropsychology. His research focuses on applying neuropsychological approaches in deaf education settings, with presentations on topics like elaboration effects on sign language memory tasks.
