Her research examines consumer judgment in pricing, health decisions, and sustainability contexts, with emphasis on cross-cultural differences in fairness perceptions and ethical consumption.
Professor Bolton investigates how consumers respond to corporate transgressions, service failures, and pricing strategies across different cultural contexts. Recent work explores behavioral pricing anomalies, sustainable consumption interventions, and the impact of religious values on consumer forgiveness. She has published extensively on nutrition labeling effectiveness, weight-management marketing ethics, and prosocial consumer behavior.
