Dr. Lisa Baker is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Western Michigan University, serving as the Psi Chi Faculty Advisor and Director of the Behavioral Neuroscience Laboratory. She holds an adjunct role in the BRAIN (Brain Research and Interdisciplinary Neurosciences) laboratory within the College of Health and Human Services. Her research focuses on behavioral pharmacology, preclinical screening of addictive drugs, and evaluating neuropsychiatric medications' therapeutic potential. She completed postdoctoral training in behavioral pharmacology at the University of South Carolina before joining WMU in 1991.

She leads interdisciplinary efforts at the BRAIN laboratory to explore brain-behavior relationships across diverse populations.
