Lisa A. Everhart

Lisa A. Everhart serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Law and Director of the Lawyering Skills Program at The Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law. She joined the institution in 1998 as a part-time instructor, transitioned to full-time faculty in 2004, and assumed directorship of the Lawyering Skills Program in 2005. Her teaching responsibilities include Legal Drafting (specializing in transactional documents) and Legal Reasoning and Writing within the LL.M. program offered jointly with Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland.

Professor Everhart's expertise centers on legal writing pedagogy and transactional law, with significant professional experience in government contracts litigation and counseling. Her background includes legal publishing leadership at West Group where she managed editorial teams and analyzed federal procurement law developments. She maintains active engagement with legal ethics through her prior service on the D.C. Board on Professional Responsibility.

She currently advises CUA's Women's Law Caucus and has dedicated decades to volunteer work supporting abandoned and abused children in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, reflecting her commitment to community service beyond academia.
