Professor Veryl Victoria Miles is a faculty member at The Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law, specializing in Commercial Law, Consumer Bankruptcy, and Legal Education. She served as Dean of the law school from 2005–2012 and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs from 1997–1999. Prior to her academic career, she practiced law at the Federal Reserve Board's General Counsel's Office.

Her publications include works on the Uniform Bar Examination's mobility benefits, faith-based law schools' missions, and the historical role of Black lawyers in Virginia. She has also contributed to discussions on discharging tax liabilities and mortgage bifurcation in bankruptcy proceedings.
