Linnie E. Green

Linnie E. Green is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Co-Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Applied Psychology at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. She holds a Ph.D. in School Psychology from NYU Steinhardt, an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College. Her research focuses on culturally-responsive pedagogy in undergraduate education and culturally-responsive practices in early childhood settings, emphasizing community-based, partnership-driven collaborations.

Dr. Green’s clinical background includes work in private practice with children and families, as well as prior roles such as Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston College’s School of Social Work. She is affiliated with interdisciplinary programs like Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness and School Counseling at NYU Steinhardt, which emphasize bridging psychological theory, research, and practice in multicultural contexts.

Her research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Educational Psychology and Early Childhood Research Quarterly. She actively promotes equitable educational practices through university-community partnerships and advocates for inclusive methodologies in both research and clinical settings.
