Lindsey Milbrath

Lindsey Milbrath is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Cornell University, affiliated with the School of Integrative Plant Science and the Soil and Crop Sciences Section. She holds a USDA-ARS Research Entomologist position at the Robert W. Holley Center for Agriculture & Health. Her research focuses on biological control of invasive plants, particularly swallow-worts (Vincetoxicum spp.) in the Northeastern U.S. She earned a Ph.D. from Kansas State University (2002), an M.S. from Cornell University (1992), and a B.S. from Iowa State University (1989).

Her research emphasizes developing sustainable methods to combat invasive species, including exploring fungal pathogens (e.g., Sclerotium rolfsii), aphid interactions, and plant-agent interactions. She collaborates with institutions like USDA-ARS and Cornell’s departments to advance biological control strategies. Her work addresses ecological impacts, plant physiology under stress, and agent specificity for effective weed management.
