معرفی
Lindsey Madison is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Colby College. She joined the faculty in 2018 after completing her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at Northwestern University and postdoctoral research at the University of Washington.
Education:
- B.A. in Chemistry, Carleton College
- Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, Northwestern University
Research Focus: Her group employs computational methods including molecular dynamics simulations, electronic structure calculations, and diffusion Monte Carlo to study:
- Clathrate hydrates and their role in greenhouse gas encapsulation
- Quantum manifestations in water clusters
- Vibrational wave function effects on solvent structure
- Intermolecular forces in molecular systems
Publications: Her recent work appears in high-impact chemistry journals focusing on computational methods, spectroscopy of nanomaterials, and quantum chemistry, with emphasis on molecular interactions and energy landscapes.
Research Group: Actively mentors undergraduate researchers in computational projects. Current/past members include Michelle Bechtel (fluorescence spectroscopy) and Muna Onuoha (biomolecular simulations).
