Lindsey Barron

Lindsey Barron is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of the Incarnate Word, where she leads research on novel cancer therapeutics using biochemical and molecular biology approaches. Her lab focuses on two primary projects: 1) isolating cytotoxic compounds from fungal extracts targeting Ewing's sarcoma and ovarian cancer; and 2) investigating protein-protein interactions between JNK kinases and p53 family transcription factors in cancer pathways.

Dr. Barron's technical expertise includes quantitative phosphoproteomics, protein engineering, and cancer cell signaling analysis. She teaches courses in research methods, anatomy, and physiology, emphasizing hands-on laboratory techniques and scientific methodology.
