Judge Linda Singer Stein serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Benjamin L. Crump College of Law, St. Thomas University. With 31 years on the Miami-Dade County Court bench, she has held roles including Associate Administrative Judge and Administrative Judge for the County Court Civil Division. Her legal career began as a federal judicial law clerk, followed by appellate counsel specializing in aviation defense, personal injury, and contract disputes. She co-drafted pivotal Supreme Court briefs under the Warsaw Convention.
Education: B.A. from University of Miami; J.D. from University of Miami School of Law.
Her judicial expertise spans criminal, civil, and domestic violence cases. She pioneered virtual court operations during the pandemic and advocates for eviction resolution programs. Active in legal education, she co-chairs annual Law Day events featuring Supreme Court justices and federal judges, emphasizing legal literacy and professionalism.
Judge Stein is renowned for her fair adjudication and mentorship of appellate and federal judges. She regularly engages in bench-bar conferences and public legal education initiatives, promoting respect and civility within the judiciary.
