Linda Rohr serves as the dean of the Faculty of Human Kinetics at the University of Windsor, a position she assumed effective July 1, 2021. She oversees academic programs including the Master of Sport Management and Leadership, which was ranked as Canada's best graduate program in sports business in 2022 and 2023.
The Faculty of Human Kinetics focuses on human movement sciences, sports management, and kinesiology. Under Dean Rohr's leadership, the faculty has established community partnerships with local schools for athletic facility access, participated in health promotion initiatives under the Okanagan Charter, and hosted events like the annual HK Book Awards for high school students. The faculty is closely connected to the Toldo Lancer Centre, the university's sports and recreation complex opened in 2022.
Dean Rohr has been involved in significant campus developments including the naming of the City of Windsor Entrance to the Toldo Lancer Centre and the dedication of an entrance plaza honoring Pat Galasso, the founding dean of Human Kinetics. She has facilitated facility-sharing agreements with the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board and supported initiatives like the Empowerment Program funded by IG Wealth Management to provide neighborhood youth access to sports facilities.
