Jess Dixon is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Human Kinetics. She holds academic leadership roles, including acting Dean of Human Kinetics, and is renowned for her contributions to sport management education and research. Her work has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the 2024 Distinguished Sport Management Educator Award.
Her research focuses on enhancing sport management education, industry collaboration, and student success. She has pioneered initiatives like the Ontario Sport Management Collective, which fosters partnerships between universities and sports organizations. Her programs emphasize practical experience, such as internships with the Windsor Spitfires and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and global exchanges, including collaborations with the Netherlands’ Johan Cruyff Institute.
Professor Dixon’s academic leadership extends to curriculum development, evidenced by the University of Windsor’s Master of Human Kinetics (MHK) in Sport Management program consistently ranking among the world’s top programs.
