Linda Mason is a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at the School of Education, Language and Psychology, York St John University. With a PGCE in primary education (specializing in mathematics) from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, her career spans teaching in diverse school settings across England, including roles as mathematics subject leader and involvement in national numeracy projects. She holds 'Leading Mathematics' and 'Advanced Teacher' status, and has contributed to mathematics development projects in the City of York and North Yorkshire Primary Mathematics Consultancy team, focusing on ICT integration and assessment for learning.
Her research emphasizes adaptive teaching practices and digital media in education. She leads the Strengthening Partnership with ITT Providers Community Group (NCETM/Yorkshire Ridings Maths Hub) and is a Local Leader of Mathematics Education. Her work includes co-authoring studies on podcasting for formative feedback and presenting at conferences like BERA (2024) and the Joint Mathematics Subject Associations Conference (2024).
