Her doctoral thesis (2023) explores the entangled history of hygiene between West Africa and Europe (1885–1914), analyzing the role of medical missionaries in shaping tropical medicine as a discipline by synthesizing religious, scientific, and colonial historical perspectives.
She is currently engaged in the "Mass Death, Science and Medicine" project, which investigates practices around corpse handling in modern European wars (1850–1960), bridging historical, medical, and sociocultural analysis.
