Adrian Gregory is an Associate Professor of Modern History at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of Pembroke College. Since 1997, he has held roles as a lecturer and college tutor at Pembroke. His research focuses on global religion during the Great War, world history between 1900–1945, and British history in the 20th century. He co-led a major AHRC-funded project on global religion and the Great War (2015–2019). He earned his history degree from the University of Cambridge.

His research explores the societal impact of war, historiography, and the intersection of religion with global conflicts. His publications include A War of Peoples 1914–1919 (2014) and The Last Great War (2008), analyzing British society’s experience during World War I.
He advises DPhil students on topics such as British and European history since 1850, global history, and the history of war. He collaborates on the Global History of Capitalism Project with Dr. Chris McKenna.
