Linda Lidman is an Associate Professor and Head of Division at Linköping University's Department of Behavioural Sciences and Learning (IBL). Her research focuses on public sector innovation, workplace learning, and organizational conditions influencing employee-driven innovation. She leads the Work and working life research group exploring sustainable workplace factors like learning, leadership, and innovation.
Her publications (2002-2024) critically examine challenges in implementing innovation policies, employee engagement dynamics, and managerial roles in supporting innovation. Key themes include bridging rhetoric-practice gaps in public administration, analyzing Swedish municipal innovation ecosystems, and exploring leadership dilemmas in organizational change.
Lidman's work integrates insights from public administration, organizational behavior, and innovation management. She has contributed to interdisciplinary projects like inGenious, an innovative course fostering business idea development through project-based learning.
Currently affiliated with the Division of Psychology (PSY) and involved with the GROWL initiative on Greening of Working Life, her research bridges behavioral sciences with societal challenges in public sector innovation.
