Linda Gregerson is the Caroline Walker Bynum Distinguished University Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Michigan, where she teaches Renaissance literature and creative writing. She also directs the Helen Zell Writers Program and contributes to the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.

Gregerson's research focuses on early modern British literature (Spenser, Milton, Shakespeare), religion and empire in the Atlantic world, and contemporary American poetry. Her criticism bridges historical analysis with philosophical inquiry, while her poetry explores intersections of science, art, and human vulnerability.
Her recent publications show a focus on transatlantic religious encounters, lyric poetry's role in contemporary society, and mythic narratives in visual-poetic dialogue. Notable themes include war's cultural impact, scientific metaphors, and gender representations.
