John Buckley is a Lecturer II in the English Department at the University of Michigan. He holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing (Poetry) from the Helen Zell Writers’ Program and an M.A. in English Literature from San Francisco State University. His creative work focuses on poetry and collaborative projects, with five published books including Yankee Broadcast Network and Poets' Guide to America. His poetry has appeared in journals like Clockhouse and Willow Springs, and he has been nominated for multiple Pushcart Prizes. He currently teaches courses on community-engaged writing, literature, and the essay form.
