Dr Lincoln Tracy is a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University. His research focuses on trauma and injury prevention, particularly in the area of burn injuries, with an emphasis on data quality, patient outcomes, and clinical registries across Australia and New Zealand.

Lincoln Tracy's research interests center on improving the quality of care and prevention of burn injuries. His work involves analyzing treatment outcomes, registry data accuracy, and patient-reported measures in burn care. He is deeply involved in national and international collaborations, particularly through the Burns Registry of Australia and New Zealand (BRANZ), and focuses on evidence-based strategies to reduce preventable injuries such as tap water scalds and sunburns.
His recent publications highlight trends in burn epidemiology, infection control, data standardization across registries, and long-term patient recovery. These works span public health, clinical research, and health informatics, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach to injury prevention and quality improvement.
Dr Tracy is actively engaged in academic service, including serving as a thesis examiner for Honours, Masters, and MPhil students, and contributing to professional societies such as the Australian and New Zealand Burns Association and the Australian Pain Society. He also participates in public outreach, frequently engaging with media to discuss burn prevention and sun safety.
He has contributed to over 60 research outputs, including articles, reports, and book chapters, and is the primary investigator on studies related to palliative care in unsurvivable burns and patient-reported outcomes in burn populations. His work supports several UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to health and well-being.
