Lina Maria Ellegård serves as Assistant Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics within the Department of Law and Economics. She is also the Subject Representative for Economics and part of the Governance Regulation Internationalization and Performance (GRIP) research group.
Her research focuses on healthcare economics using Swedish register data to analyze healthcare reforms and governance models. Key interests include physician continuity in primary care, private practice dynamics, digital care implementation, patient care choices, competition, and reimbursement systems across primary and hospital care settings. Her work consistently addresses socioeconomic disparities and health equity implications.
Analysis of her recent publications reveals concentrated expertise in primary care economics (100% of works), with strong emphasis on Swedish healthcare (64%), health service delivery (49%), and private provider dynamics (37%). Her research bridges health policy analysis with empirical economic evaluation.
