Lilla Garayová

Assoc. Prof. Lilla Garayová is Vice-Dean for Bachelor's and Master's Studies and International Relations at the Faculty of Law of the Pan-European University. She also serves as an Associate Professor at the Institute of International and European Law and works at Comenius University in Bratislava, as well as practicing law in children's rights.

Her research focuses on international family law and children's rights, with a specific emphasis on human rights and international law. She has authored several dozen professional and scientific papers and participated in nine national and international research projects.

She is a member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Law at Pan-European University, the Slovak Association of International Law, the European Association of Private International Law, and the International Society of Family Law. She represents Slovakia in Family Law Europe (FL-EUR), an academic society integrating 36 European countries in family law issues. She is also part of the editorial boards of

She has lectured internationally in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Greece, Mexico, Belgium, the USA, Peru, the Netherlands, Trinidad and Tobago, and at numerous national and international conferences. In 2024, she was appointed Visiting Professor at CETYS Universidad in Mexico following an international selection process. Additionally, she is fluent in nine foreign languages and contributes to academic governance through roles in the joint selection committee of the National Higher Education Institution and the Council for Education and Training (RVV) of RVŠ SR. Her 2022 role as Slovakia's national rapporteur for the European Commission led to a Council regulation proposal on parenthood recognition between EU member states.
