Lijing Jiang

Lijing Jiang is a Shelby Cullom Davis Center Fellow at Princeton University for Spring 2024, conducting research on the historical intersections of species, technology, and environments in Asia's aquacultural development through her project "Fish Nations: Species, Technology, and Environments in Asia’s Aquacultural Transformation".

Her research spans Environmental History, History of Science and Technology, and Asian History, examining how technological innovations in fish farming have co-evolved with ecological and social systems across Asian contexts. This interdisciplinary work emphasizes historical ecology and the cultural dimensions of aquatic resource management.

Dr. Jiang has received the Shelby Cullom Davis Center Fellowship for Spring 2024, supporting advanced scholarship in the history of international economic systems.
