Pavlína Rychterová serves as a Research Fellow at the Shelby Cullom Davis Center within Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs for Spring 2026, with additional association to the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Her position focuses on advanced research in historical discourse analysis.
Her research centers on Medieval History, specializing in Bohemian History during the late medieval period. Key interests include Discourse Analysis of societal failures, Cultural History of religious transformations, Religious Studies examining truth narratives, and Historical Sociology analyzing loss frameworks. Her current project, "The Return to a Simple Truth and Its Consequences: Discourses of Failure and Loss in Late Medieval Bohemia", investigates how medieval Bohemian societies processed collective trauma through textual and institutional discourses.
Her scientific recognition includes the prestigious Shelby Cullom Davis Center Fellowship.
