Lewis M. Flint, M.D., is an Adjunct Professor of Surgery at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Selected Readings in General Surgery at the American College of Surgeons. He earned his A.B. and M.D. from Duke University, completed surgical training at Duke and the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), and was Chief Resident at MUSC (1973–1974). He further specialized as a Trauma Fellow at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
His research focuses on Trauma Surgery, Surgical Education, and General Surgery, reflecting his editorial roles and clinical background. He has authored 159+ publications, 3 books, and 43 book chapters, emphasizing surgical best practices and education.
