Matthew Bradley is the Chair of the Department of Surgery and a Professor at the Uniformed Services University. He serves as Program Director of the General Surgery Residency and holds leadership roles in military health initiatives, including the Military Health Systems Strategic Partnership of the American College of Surgeons. His research focuses on trauma, critical care, surgical education, and quality improvement.
- Education: B.S. from Pennsylvania State University, M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha honors), General Surgery Residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and Trauma/Critical Care Fellowship at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
- Military Experience: Deployed to Afghanistan (2014) as Chief of Trauma, served as Ship’s Surgeon on USS George H.W. Bush, and held roles at the Naval Medical Research Center.
