Levent Kaan

Levent Kaan is a Lecturer I - Management at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, Southern Methodist University. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research (SMU, 2011), M.S. in Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering (North Dakota State University, 2007), and B.S. in Industrial Engineering (Erciyes University, 1999). His research focuses on Simulation, Operations Research (linear/non-linear optimization), Operations Management, Lean/Six Sigma Quality, Inventory Optimization, Probability & Statistics, and Transportation Problems.

Professionally, he has held roles at Bell Helicopter (Sr. Staff Industrial Engineer, 2008–Present), Gulfstream Aerospace (Parts Manufacturer App. Ground Lead, 2005–2009), Siemens Energy & Automation (2004–2005), and JLG Industries (2004–2018). He also served as a Teaching/Research Assistant at multiple institutions.
