Ozalp Ozer is the Ashbel Smith Professor of Management at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. His expertise spans supply chain operations, inventory planning, pricing strategies, and behavioral operations. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Columbia University (2000) and has held academic roles at Stanford University and Columbia University. His research focuses on mechanisms for supply chain coordination, dynamic decision-making, and the integration of behavioral insights into operational systems.
Key honors include the Wickham Skinner Early-Career Research Award (2004), Hellman Faculty Scholar (2003–2005), and Eugene L. Grant Award for Excellence in Teaching (2004). He serves as an associate editor for Management Science, Operations Research, and Production and Operations Management.
His work bridges theoretical models with practical industry applications, such as optimizing vaccine production and improving healthcare outcomes through data-driven sepsis alert systems. Collaborations include projects with University Hospitals of Cleveland and Hitachi Global Storage Technologies.
